Today with advanced technology, surgeries and operations have a big role to play to help people overcome their ailments. For quality treatment in the operation theater, there is a great demand for qualified and trained technicians in the Government and Corporate hospitals in India and aboard. An operation theater assistant is a person who looks after all the work and management of the operation theater which includes managing the patients in and out of operation theater, looking after all the surgical instruments, their sterilization, arrngement of operation theater table, dressing table, instrument table, anesthesia table as well as management of the staff. Looking after the drugs required for surgery, anesthetic gases, drapes and all the linen and their sterilization. He / She also assist the surgeon during the operation. In short, therefore, an operation theater technician has to manage and organize whole of the operation theater without whom no surgeon can properly operate on the patients and neither can a hospital or a nursing home or be complete.
